To practice massage therapy in British Columbia you must be a registrant of the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC). The CMTBC is the regulatory body responsible for the profession of massage in this province. You must have graduated from a licensed college of massage therapy and have successfully written the provincial exams required to be a member. Training to be a massage therapist at a licensed college takes from 2 ½ to 3 years.
